Goodside Painting and Handyman Service

Shawn and Jenny did a PHENOMENAL job repairing and matching my ceiling texture after a water leak. Whoever tried to repair it before did a Terrible job and it was very noticeable. You can't tell the repair is there now. They went above and beyond what I hired them to do. They are very neat and left everything Spotless. I highly recommend them to everyone who needs painting or handyman services. They are the BEST! They were voted THE BEST PAINTERS IN DES MOINES by CITYVIEW magazine.

Great experience start to finish. Both Shawn and Jenny were really helpful, communicated well, and completed my somewhat last-minute request really quickly.

Terrific paint job ..kept adding to the " to do" list.. even electrical .. everything complete top notch!

I would highly recommend Goodside Painting to others and wouldn’t hesitate to use their services again in the future. They were quick to do an in-person quote, schedule our project and paint our front door and primary bedroom. Shawn and Jenny were prompt and professional throughout. We’re so happy with the finished products!

We needed a painter and Sherwin-Williams recommended Goodside Painting. Shawn and Jenny explained all the charges and they kept us up to date on changes and add ons. Goodside painted and made repairs in the kitchen and painted all of the trim and ceiling in the living room. They also painted the house, garage and shed. The work started inside on Monday August 3rd and Jose finished outside on Thursday August 13. We are so happy with the outcome. If you are looking for a professional painter, call Goodside you'll be happy you did.

Wow! The exterior of my house looks fabulous. Even the neighbors tell me how good it looks. During the process, Shawn made sure everything was done the way I wanted. Could not be happier with the results.

Highly recommend! Reached out to them for some small drywall fixes, they responded immediately and set up an appointment, and he fixed it all in one day! Looks good as new!

Did a great job helping with a commercial project. Painted exterior louvers to match the existing facade. Hard worker that I would use again!

Great local small business. The guys were flexible, easy to work with, courteous and respectful of us and our home. We needed some painting done by professionals because of the very high ceiling and it looks fantastic. Would definitely hire this company again.

I love working with Goodside Painting. The work and quality are top notch. MattyG

We’ve used Goodside Painting & Handyman Service for several projects and have had a great experience every time. Most recently they hung three TVs in our home and did an excellent job. They were professional, efficient, and cleaned up so well afterward you couldn’t even tell they had been there. We’ve also used them for a garbage disposal replacement and whole-house painting, and the quality of their work has always been outstanding. They’re reliable, detail-oriented, and very respectful of your home. It’s hard to find contractors you can truly trust, but these guys are the real deal. I highly recommend Goodside Painting & Handyman Service and will definitely continue using them for future projects.

Shawn and Jenny were fantastic to work with! Their communication and attention to detail are excellent. One of the rooms had a shiplap wall that was difficult to remove and required a ton of patching. After they finished, you would never know the shiplap was there. They even made sure all of the screws on the switch plates were facing the same direction when they replaced them. Best of all, my walls look brand new! Goodside Painting definitely lives up to the hype!

Had a great overall experience. We had our ceilings and hallway walls painted going up stairs so it’s over 20ft tall. Looks great and even got in sooner than anticipated. Very happy and would definitely recommend and use again for future projects.

These folks are great! They do all they can to meet your needs and request. Perfect job - second time we have worked with them there will definitely be a third.

Shawn and Jenny were awesome! They painted my basement living area and basement bathroom, as well as my kitchen and upstairs bathroom. They were great with communication and offering up suggestions - super timely in getting the work done. Fantastic to work with and would definitely recommend!

Great service and kind people!

Five stars galore! Shawn and Jenny were great through the entire process and the work done is divine! We made the right choice in keeping it local and any future needs we may have, they will be the first and only call. We recommend anyone looking for an exterior job to highly consider them, you will not be disappointed.
